I
became a Fitness Trainer about seven years ago, and instantly
noticed changes in energy and body composition my client's
bodies could take depending on the fitness regimen applied.
While I was in graduate school studying counseling psychology
I, simultaneously became a Fitness Trainer. Having trained
for seven years has help me to work with individuals with
diverse needs. During my graduate studies, I became interested
in the benefits of exercise for mental health, and became
trained in motivational counseling techniques. I constantly
incorporate wellness and exercise with clients I currently
work with. Also, I am working to obtain a certificate in
Nutrition Performance to enhance client's training experience.
Working
in mental health for about ten years has also lead me to
become a certified HIV Treatment Advocate Specialist were
I discuss different exercise and nutrition plans with HIV
positive people. And has also lead me to help clients manage
medication interactions and side effects.
Through
my work in health, I continue to develop exercise plans
for diverse populations with different goals. I incorporated
both physical and motivation in my work at the gym or in-home
training.
